As a plus size girl, one of my biggest fear is to board a plane and find out I don't fit in the seats so I will have to leave. Fortunately, this has never happened to me so I am sharing my experience in Cebu Pacific's A320 to assure my fellow plus size travelers out there.

Are the seats big enough for a plus size?

I'm sure your first question is if a plus size can fit in their seats. I am a 5 foot 6 inch 125 pound girl and I am happy to say that I fit in the seats comfortably. The allowance to adjust the seatbelts are pretty huge as well so I don't need to adjust it to the maximum length just to be able to securely close it. However, the legroom is not really that big so it starts to get uncomfortable after the first 2 hours. If this space is very important for you, don't worry because there are also seats with bigger leg room but is only limited so make sure to reserve yours early.

How small is the comfort room?

Of course, you can't expect a big comfort room in airplanes as small as A320 but for my size, I can fit in and use everything in it but not as comfortable as I wish it will be. Actually, I used to be afraid of not fitting in the airplane bathroom so I never used it. I just always make sure to use the bathroom at the airport before boarding so I don't have to use it. And since the longest airport ride I have tried is 4 hours, not visiting the comfort room is not that hard.

However, there comes a time when you just have to go so I didn't have a choice but to go and I was glad I fit in. :)

What to do if you are too big for the seats?

Based on my experience, there was one guy who was too big for his seat so the flight attendants transferred the people beside him to other vacant chairs. So I recommend letting the flight personnel know at once regarding your concern - and I mean as early as when checking in your luggage. So everything is already fixed before you board and you don't have to go through the scenario where you see the attendants talking to the people beside you and asking them politely to transfer.
