One of my biggest struggle when getting a gown for me for an evening event is to find a design that actually looks flattering for a plus-size. And after a number of family events that I attended to and had a custom-made gown or bought dress for me - I think I finally learned the secret in finding the perfect gown for plus-size women.

Choose a dress that is fit up to the smallest part of your body which is usually right below the breast area. And from there, balloons out so it doesn't show the biggest part of your body. In my case, its my hips and thighs.



Another option is to wear a two-tone dress designed for plus-size women. The best ones make an illusion of a sexy figure like the one in the picture below:





And if you're like me where my arms are a big part of my insecurity, you should also consider getting a dress with this kind of sleeves:





And if you want to show off a little more skin or if you are wearing some really pretty shoes, its worth considering getting a high-low gown:
