I've been to Hong Kong Disneyland several times already and overall it has been a pleasant experience for a plus-size girl like me. Yes, there are rides that I am still not able to ride due to my size but the whole Disney experience makes up for it so it's okay.

Big Size Friendly Attractions

Just like every Disneyland park, only a few attractions cannot accommodate plus-size individuals. And the following rides mentioned below are fat girl friendly:

Mystic Manor
It's a Small World
Raft to Tarzan's Treehouse
Tarzan's Treehouse
Cinderella Carousel
Fairy Tale Forest
Mickey's PhilharMagic

And the following rides are plus-size friendly too but I almost did not fit if I was any heavier:

Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway
Iron Man Experience
Toy Soldier Parachute Drop

How is the food served in Hong Kong Disneyland?

Again, just like in all Disneyland parks, Hong Kong's version is the same. The proportion is just enough for one but light eaters can share. The best way to make the most out of your money is by purchasing a Disney meal coupon at least a day before your visit. You can find one on their website or you can also get it via Klook.

If you ask me, I prefer getting it at Klook as you get points for every purchase that you can use on your future travels.

When is the best time to visit Hong Kong Disneyland?

For Southeast Asians like me, we've had enough of summer season and prefer to visit during the cold season. And these are the months of December, January, and February. For summer lovers, visit Hong Kong from late February to early May. And the absolute unadvisable time to visit Hong Kong is during the rainy season which usually happens late May to November.

However, if you've never been to Hong Kong's Halloween special in Disneyland - visiting on October to early November is a must. Watching the villains of Disney take over the park is too special not to see even at least once in your life.

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotels

If you're a true blue Disney fan then trying a night's stay at their hotel is another must-try experience. Plus you can avail of their package rates where you can get discounts, VIP access, and even a free room upgrade if you book directly from their website. There are a total of three Disney hotels in Hong Kong and this includes Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, Disney Explorers Lodge and Disney's Hollywood Hotel.

Buffets at Hong Kong Disneyland

So far I have tried one buffet at Hong Kong Disneyland and its the one at Hollywood Hotel. It's actually the cheapest among the three that's why I chose it and it was worth it. They served King crab claws which I and my boyfriend are really fond of plus lots of food with AAA+ presentation. The food was so cute you almost don't want to eat it.

Hong Kong Disneyland tickets cost 3,666 Pesos or around 550 HKD via Klook.
